Healing
My life has been filled with so many regrets.
Countless times, I thought about going back in time. I used to wonder what I would change to fix my mistakes and avoid those hurts.
Then I had my son. Watching him grow, from the day he was born, through learning to speak and walk, to being able to talk with me, I have truly felt how much he relies on me, cares for me, and loves me. As I love him, I am loved in return, softly healed by his love.
Blessing
Now, even when facing those past regrets, I would never want to go back. I am far too afraid that changing the past might mean my son wouldn’t be born. With him in my life, those regrets can just drift away in the wind.
I am over forty now, but I would never trade my age for another twenty or thirty years of youth. Nothing is worth missing the most blessed encounter with my son. I love him so much, my precious boy.
